Who We Are

PIKIN CORNER is a nonpolitical organization dedicated to supporting children in need.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The network for children’s rights is PIKIN CORNER’s main aim. The organization will take all appropriate measures to:

• Support, implement, and raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, signed by Greece in 1992, as well as promote the declaration.
• Defend the rights of children on a local and international level.
• Implement solidarity actions and organize cultural, artistic, and educational events that contribute to a collective consciousness that all children belong to the same community and have equal rights.
• Focus on challenges that children from vulnerable populations face, including children with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, hospitalized, institutionalized, or imprisoned children.
• Inform children regarding laws that educate and protect them on local and international levels, fight against mental health provision issues, and take immediate action against the worst types of child labor.
• Facilitate children’s access to educational functions, culture, and judicial processes.
• Foster access to education for children from ethnic minorities (Muslims, Christians, refugees, local traditional tribes).
• Protect children from premature employment and labor exploitation, especially children from ethnic minorities and other excluded social groups.
• Publish and distribute free printed material, such as magazines, flyers, and books, circulating information relevant to children’s rights, and also host educational seminars across the country.
• Participate in national and international networks and projects relevant to the organization’s aims and objectives.
• Promote respect and generate a sense of love and familyhood among organization members.
